Turn clean outs into fast drawing-equity estimates. On the flop, use ×4 for a quick by-the-river estimate. On the turn, use ×2 when only one card remains.

Turn outs into fast equity estimates

The Rule of 2 and 4 gives you a fast table estimate of your chance to improve. On the flop, multiply clean outs by 4 to estimate your chance of improving by the river. On the turn, multiply clean outs by 2.
